Transitioning: No Stroll in the Park!
When one comes to the realization that he or she is transgender, yes, there may be a sigh of relief, but this emotion is usually swiftly replaced by panic. "How do I tell my friends and family," they lament, or worse, "What do I wear?"
The Trans Clothing Exchange was born out of necessity. Noticing a dearth of trans resources in their fairly large town in Idaho the co-founders decided that the best way to help others was to appeal to the goodness in human nature. Hence was born our slogan, "Kindness, unscripted." We believe that when faced with suffering in an fellow Earth-dweller, the human heart will instinctively reach out to alleviate that suffering.
TCE Inc is a completely voluntary organization, and all funds received are re-invested into the community, from the purchasing of brand new items for hygiene purposes to monthly community meetings to educate and invigorate the LGBTQ community. We will always hold a "People first" mentality, and no one, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, color, race, religion, or creed will be turned away from our assistance. We live by the phrase

Jenn serves TCE Inc as a board member and the women's fashion consultant, and assists transwomen with traversing the complexities of dresses, pantsuits, and accessories. Soon-to-be a student of sociology, her passion for learning has made her a stalwart ally for the trans community.
Kevin volunteers for TCE as the men's wardrobe consultant, helping transmen get fitted into chest binders and selecting suitable attire. He is working towards an Associates in sociology, enjoys spending quality Wii time with his son, and loves helping people.

Luke began contributing to TCE with his phenomenal networking skills. Now president of the organization, he lives with his husband and dog and enjoys helping the community become a place where people can find love and acceptance for who they are.
